✨Honoring the Brave & Staying Safe: Memorial Day Hours✨
𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐥𝐚𝐢𝐫 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐘𝐌𝐂𝐀 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐛𝐞 𝐂𝐋𝐎𝐒𝐄𝐃 𝐨𝐧 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐲, 𝐌𝐚𝐲 𝟐𝟓𝐭𝐡, 𝐢𝐧 𝐨𝐛𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐌𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐃𝐚𝐲.
As we head into the long weekend, our hearts are focused on the true meaning of this day. For 175 years, the YMCAs have stood alongside our neighbors through every era, and today we pause to honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving our country. Their legacy of selflessness is a debt we can never fully repay.
As our community gathers to celebrate the unofficial start of summer, we want to remind our Y family to stay safe and healthy:
🌊 𝐖𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐚𝐟𝐞𝐭𝐲 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭: With local backyard and community pools opening up this weekend, remember that drowning is silent. Keep a constant, undistracted eye on children around water, and make sure life jackets are used for inexperienced swimmers.
🍔 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡𝐲 𝐂𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬: Enjoy those holiday cookouts! Balance out the backyard BBQ by tossing some colorful veggies on the grill, staying hydrated with plenty of water, and keeping your body moving with a family walk or a game of backyard catch.
☀️ 𝐒𝐮𝐧 & 𝐇𝐲𝐝𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: The summer sun is finally here! Don't forget to pack the sunscreen, reapply often, and beat the heat by drinking water throughout the day.
