Breaking ground on the Blair Regional YMCA Early Learning Center is an exciting investment in our community's future.
It was an honor to join local leaders and families in celebrating this milestone. I'm proud to have helped secure federal funding for this project, bringing taxpayer dollars back home to Blair County.
This new center will expand access to high-quality childcare, giving more families the support they need while helping children learn, grow, and thrive.

🎉 BIG NEWS, BLAIR COUNTY! 🎉
Today is more than just the start of construction; it is the beginning of new opportunities for our children, families, employers, and the entire Blair County community. Every shovel of dirt turned today represents an investment in our future.
High-quality childcare is essential infrastructure that supports both working families and our local economy. The newly dedicated Dr. Carroll "Oz" & Dianne Osgood Early Learning Center will allow the Blair Regional YMCA to continue serving hundreds of local families in a modern, state-of-the-art facility right here on our campus.
✨ And the best part? The project is 100% FULLY FUNDED! ✨
This dream has become a reality thanks to the incredible generosity of our local community members, businesses, family foundations, board members, volunteers, project partners, and dedicated YMCA staff. We are especially grateful for the critical grant funding secured through our elected officials: $2 million in Community Project Funding supported by Congressman John Joyce and $3 million in Pennsylvania RACP funding supported by Senator Judy Ward.
"The strongest communities are built by investing in their youngest citizens". Years from now, children won't remember the construction equipment—they will remember the teachers who inspired them, the friendships they formed, and the opportunities that began within these walls.
Together, we are building a brighter future for Blair County, because there is truly no place like this place.
